Project Summary: A nationally renowned research hospital located in Omaha, NE has grown substantially over the past 20 years.  As buildings are constructed and technology is further adopted within their operations, their demand for steam, chilled water, and backup power generation increases.  Their generator plant currently houses three 2,000 KW generators.  Prairie Mechanical Corporation assisted in the setting of a fourth 2,000 KW generator.  We constructed a custom double wall plenum that rises 40 feet into the air and penetrates the roof of the existing structure.  The generator is exhausted through a 16 inch stainless steel stack inside the double wall plenum.  A fuel oil contractor installed a new below grade fuel oil storage tank.  Prairie Mechanical installed socket welded fuel oil lines from the new storage tank to day tanks located next to the generators.
